London, October 22nd 2018 – Challenge Advisory is delighted to announce that Venkat Maroju, PH. D.; CEO of SourceTrace Systems will be speaking at AG 4.0 in San Francisco from 14-15 November 2018.
Dr. Maroju will be speaking on the “Food safety, traceability and transparency in the supply chain” panel, where discussions will concentrate on investigating the main methods to trace products back such as blockchain technology as well as assessing its benefits and role in the traceability and food safety debate.
Venkat is CEO SourceTrace Systems – a company that has become a global leader in providing software solutions to agriculture and allied sectors. The use of these technological solutions has made the agriculture value chain sustainable, transparent and equitable – thus empowering more than 600K smallholder farmers in developing countries. Venkat had been invited to speak at international conferences such as UN Forum for Business & Human Rights, World Bank, USAID, Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture (GFIA), ICT4D, TiE StartupCon, Sustainatopia, Agriculture Leadership Summit, Development Dialogue and he also spoke at universities such as MIT & Harvard.
Speaking of Agriculture 4.0, Dr. Maroju says “Producing enough food for growing population while ensuring the ethical production in order to minimize the environmental impact on the planet and equitable treatment of farmers is one of the major challenges of our generation. SourceTrace considers this as an important global issue to address by bringing the latest technologies to the first mile of agriculture, we not only consider this as a great opportunity for social impact but also a large market opportunity for building a viable business.”
With the help of the Agricultural Supply Chain, Challenge Advisory have built strong insights into how digitalization can be integrated into US agriculture. The mission for our Agriculture 4.0 workshop is to help farmers better engage with the latest technology available in the market and present a wide range of solutions for the modern farmer.
To address these challenges, we have developed the AG 4.0 workshop, a programme designed around bringing key stakeholders from throughout US agriculture together to tackle the most pressing issues in relation to the stability of the market.
